Founded as part of Tripse, our roots go back to 2020 when Denise launched the business during a time of uncertainty. Meanwhile, Kyle was running his own travel business too. In 2023, they merged their expertise to grow Tripse, and that's where The River Cruise Company was born - focused on delivering tailor-made river cruise experiences.
With a commitment to personal service, we are a hands-on team that goes the extra mile. We don’t just sell travel; we talk to our customers every day, ensuring they receive the best advice, recommendations, and service. Our passion for river cruising drives everything we do.
Meet the Team
Denise Parkhouse
Co-Owner & Travel Expert
Denise founded Tripse in 2020, taking the leap into running her own travel business after years of working in the industry. She has a wealth of experience in both sales & operations, having held various roles in the travel sector, both in the UK & overseas.
In 2023, Denise joined forces with Kyle to expand Tripse, leading to the launch of The River Cruise Company, a dedicated brand for river cruising enthusiasts. Together, they work daily to develop the business, create incredible cruise offerings, and maintain the high level of customer care that their clients value.
Denise remains hands-on with customers, offering advice and recommendations, ensuring that every detail is taken care of. She loves hearing customers’ stories and helping them plan their next journey.
Kyle Beevers
Co-Owner & Travel Expert
Kyle joined forces with Denise in 2023, bringing his passion for travel and product development.
Since starting as an apprentice in a high street travel agency, Kyle has held various positions in the travel industry - including representing a major hotel chain, working with radio stations to fulfil their travel needs, and then to working solo from home selling travel independently.
Today, he runs the day to day operations of The River Cruise Company & Tripse, alongside Denise.
He is always hand to help customers find their dream holiday, alongside working to make sure you are kept up to date with the latest offers, products, and inspiration.
Michelle Frank
Travel Expert
Michelle brings over 10 years of travel industry experience and a real passion for exploring new destinations. She’s well-travelled and loves sharing her knowledge to help customers plan their next adventure.
She’s enjoyed incredible experiences around the world – from spotting the Big Five in Tanzania and climbing Ella Rock in Sri Lanka, to exploring Colombia’s colourful cities and road-tripping through California.
Michelle now focuses on helping customers find the perfect river cruise, chatting through the options and matching each person with the right itinerary. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, and is currently learning Spanish as a second language, too!
Imy Woodcock
Travel Admin & Document Specialist
Imy's job is to ensure customers receive beautifully printed and posted travel documents, and handling the crucial admin details that make every trip run smoothly.
She loves to read about everyone's travel plans, and has a close eye for attention to detail when preparing those important final documents.
Alongside her role at Tripse & The River Cruise Company, Imy is studying Philosophy at Newcastle University.
Imy is also no stranger to rivers, as her passion is rowing! You'll often find her on the water as she is a key member of Newcastle University Boat Club, where she coxes for one of the men’s eights.
